Niagara Falls… slowly I turned… Yes, that is a throwback for sure. I can never hear the name of this place without replaying this. It will only hit with those of a certain age, but those of us who grew up with Bud Abbott and Lou Costello will remember this bit. I will just leave it at that.
Quite the wild ride for those who get on a boat and brave the falls. Note that everyone is given a raincoat. Now for me, this would be a clue that I would be going way closer than I needed. It does look sort of fun but Mrs. T and I stayed on the dry spectator end of it.
It is truely majestic. We were not prepared for its popularity! Thousands of tourists must visit daily. Not an unpleasant crush of folks and everyone seemed to be on their best behavior, most likely due to the proximity of the falls and the powerful aura it created. We were made small in its presence.

And yes, those boats were a constant parade up to the falls, one after the other.
Ok, this is checked off the list. By the way, you must see this from the Canadian side please. Much better view by all accounts.
On our way to Chicago. I will spare you the details of a one night stay in Kalamazoo. Let’s just say that when this particular hotel lists microwave as one of the amenities. What they are referring to is the community microwave in the lobby! Onward.
