Quick stay in Durham on the way to DC and yes, these people are all about their minor league team the Durham Bulls. And yes, one and the same from the movie Bull Durham. In addition to the many historical landmarks, there are many relating to the movie: Annie’s house and the famous stadium compete with the bull and a sign that reads. “Hit the bull, win a steak.”

I could not let this magnificent new library building go by without a picture as well as the historic marker next to the site…
Besides all of the bulls around town, it will always be home to perhaps the best biscuit I have ever had… wish I had a picture but it went down way too fast. Even Mrs. T could not resist a bite. You know it was good because it was all they sold. Well, in addition to everything you could imagine on one.
Next stop, three days in DC…
I will leave you with this thought… while I am not a big flag waver I am, in spite of current events, proud to be a US citizen. I cannot convey the feeling of welling up at the sight of some of the iconic symbols of our country. Perhaps that is what accounts for my glass half full attitude regarding the daily news reports. We will dive deeper into the attractions in this city next time…
